Do old palmistry books still hold up for modern hands?

I inherited a palmistry book from the 70s and it talks a lot about 'simian lines' and 'girdles of Venus' like they're rare, but I feel like I see those all the time now. Were hands really that different back then, or is it just that I'm finally paying attention?

Honestly, the bone structure and major line patterns haven’t changed in a few thousand years, so the old books still map fine — the real shift is in how stress and screen time show up in the finer lines.

Honestly, the old books still work because the core shapes and lines haven’t changed — what’s outdated is some of the doom-and-gloom interpretations, not the hand reading itself.
