💞 Where to meet a husband, wife or life partner — by your chart

In astrocartography, meeting a partner is ruled by the Descendant — the setting line of the planets, the axis of the 7th house of marriage and partnership. Where your Venus-on-the-Descendant line runs near a city, love is easiest to meet: the classic line of attraction and union. Stronger still is the Juno (the marriage asteroid) line on the Descendant — the very line of meeting your spouse. The Sun on the Descendant brings a vivid, strong partner, Jupiter a lucky marriage and meeting through travel, the Moon a warm, family-minded person, and Venus on the Ascendant makes you the one who is desired.

And the "when" is shown by transits and profections. Transiting Jupiter crossing your natal Venus or Descendant marks a year of meeting and love; Saturn to the same points marks a year of a serious step and commitment; and the years when profection activates the 7th house (at ages 6, 18, 30, 42, 54 and every 12 years after) are traditionally partnership years. Join the "where" and the "when" — and you know the best place and the best time to meet your other half.

What is astrocartography

Astrocartography maps your natal chart onto the globe. Each planet draws lines where, at the moment of your birth, it was rising, culminating or setting. Near such a line its theme — love, home, career, growth — comes through noticeably stronger.

FAQ

?What is astrocartography?

Astrocartography (Jim Lewis relocational astrology) projects the planets of your natal chart onto a world map as lines. Near each line the planet's life theme runs stronger — a language of emphasis, not fate.

?What do I need to calculate it?

Your birth date, exact time and city. Time is critical: the lines shift about 15° of longitude per hour, so without an exact time the map is unreliable.

?What do the MC, IC, ASC and DESC lines mean?

Each planet produces four lines. MC (Midheaven) — career and calling, IC (Nadir) — home and roots, Ascendant — self and body, Descendant — relationships and partnership.

?Does this mean I should move?

No. A line shows where a planet's theme is more vivid — on a trip, in a project, or simply as an accent. It is a tool for self-understanding; the choices are always yours.

?Which planets are strongest?

Venus (love, beauty), Jupiter (growth, luck), Sun (vitality, recognition) and Moon (home, peace) lines are considered the most favourable; Saturn and Mars are more demanding.

?Is it free?

The educational material on this page is open. A personal astrocartography map with a reading is available on an Avatarium plan.

?How do I know where to meet a husband or wife?

Look at the Descendant lines — the axis of marriage and partnership. Cities near your Venus or Juno line on the Descendant are where meeting love and a spouse comes most easily; the Sun, Jupiter and Moon on the Descendant are favourable too. Avatarium ranks cities by these lines and points to your best years to meet by Jupiter and Saturn transits to your Venus and 7th-house profections.
