Why do I keep seeing 11:11 when I'm stressed?

Lately it feels like every time I hit a rough patch, I glance at the clock and it's 11:11 again. Could just be pattern-finding, but part of me wonders if there's a nudge behind it.

Could also be your brain’s pattern filter getting hypersensitive when you’re stressed, so 11:11 pops because it’s already loaded with meaning for you. Do you notice it at actual 11:11 or on random clocks too?

Mostly the real 11:11, but once or twice a random clock was stuck at that time and it still gave me that little jolt — so I think the meaning I’ve attached to it does a lot of the heavy lifting, stress just turns up the volume.
