Does anyone else feel like their sign's traits are only half right?

I'm a Scorpio and I swear half the descriptions I read make me sound like a totally different person. Started wondering if my rising sign explains the parts that don't match. Curious if other people feel like their sign is only describing part of the picture.

Yes exactly, I'm supposedly a textbook Virgo but nothing about the perfectionist stuff fits me. Once I looked at my moon sign more things clicked into place.

Honestly I think sun sign traits are just broad strokes, they're written to apply to a twelfth of the population so of course they miss a lot of nuance.

How do people actually figure out their rising sign? Is it just birth time and location or is there more to it?
