Keep dreaming about losing my teeth, what does that even mean

This is like the third time this month I've had a dream where my teeth are falling out one by one. It's not scary exactly but it's unsettling enough that I wake up and just lie there thinking about it. Trying to figure out what the common interpretation is for this one.

I had this recurring dream constantly during a stressful job change a couple years back. Someone told me it's often linked to feeling a loss of control over something, and it stopped once things settled down for me.

Not to be a downer but I lean toward dreams just being random neuron firing while your brain sorts through the day, not necessarily hidden messages.
