Found a folder of old notes with the same symbol everywhere

I was clearing out a box from years ago and every loose page had this little spiral drawn in the corner. Does anyone else keep finding marks they don't remember making?

Couldn’t find any dates, but the handwriting and paper stock point to early 2000s — and the symbol only turns up in margins, never in the main text.

Probably a mnemonic or a personal sigil — once you notice it, it starts showing up in every margin and sketch. Any chance the notes mention what the symbol was meant to “open” or trigger?

Yeah, I’d flip through the pages looking for words like “recall,” “unlock,” “when you see this,” or any sketch where the symbol sits next to a date or a doorway — those margin pairings usually give away the trigger.

What does the paper itself feel like — is it older stock, or just something someone reprinted recently? That might narrow down whether it’s from a specific working period or just someone’s current fixation.

The paper’s definitely got that soft, almost waxy feel of older stock — not brittle, but it takes a fold without cracking, and the edges are a little feathered like it’s been handled for years rather than fresh off a home printer.
