Does anyone else keep a dossier on people they meet?

I started jotting down small details about new acquaintances so I don't forget their names or what we talked about. Now I'm wondering if that's just being organized or if it crosses into something a bit too intense.

I do, but mostly just little notes on what they’re into or things we’ve talked about so I don’t blank next time — feels less like a dossier and more like a memory patch.

I keep a light one for people I see regularly but don’t know well, mostly so I don’t ask the same “how’s the dog?” question twice. Do you ever go back and update entries when your read on someone changes?

Yeah, I do — I’ll tweak the entry when I realize I had someone wrong, and sometimes I’ll add a little note like “warmer than I first thought” so future me gives them a fairer shot.
