Anyone else keep a dossier on people they meet?

I've started keeping little notes on people I talk to regularly — nothing weird, just stuff like their coffee order or a band they mentioned. Sometimes I worry it feels a bit too much like I'm profiling my friends, but it also helps me remember things. Do any of you do this, or is it just me?
