Anyone else keep a dossier on people they meet just to remember them better?

I started jotting tiny notes after conversations, like a detail they mentioned or a vibe I got, and now it feels almost like a weird scrapbook of acquaintances. Do you think that's overly clinical or just a natural way to hold onto fleeting connections?

I do a lightweight version of that — just a few notes on what they’re into or what we talked about last time, it makes the “hey, how’d that thing go?” land way better.

That’s such a good middle ground — enough to jog the genuine care without turning it into homework, and people really do light up when you remember the small stuff.

I do this for online friends and coworkers, mostly just small notes like their coffee order or a project they were stressed about, so I don't have to awkwardly ask twice.
