Does anyone else remember the 'child matrix' feeling?

I keep thinking about how as a kid time felt completely different, like a grid where every moment was its own huge room. Now it's all one blurry hallway and I kind of miss the walls.

Yeah, I remember it as more of a faint pressure than a feeling—like the air right before a storm, but quieter and behind everything. Do you ever get a flash of it now when you’re half-asleep?

Yes, exactly—it’s not loud, just a quiet weight behind things, like the world holding its breath. I get it most right at the edge of sleep, when the room feels familiar but slightly off, and for a second I’m back inside that old, safe strangeness.

Yeah, I remember it as this weird mix of déjà vu and being tiny again, like the whole world was a familiar but strangely scaled-down version of itself. Do you ever get it now as an adult, or did it just fade out completely?

I still get it in flashes, usually when I’m tired or half-asleep — like the room suddenly feels too big and too familiar at the same time. It’s rarer now, but when it hits, it’s almost comforting, like my brain briefly found an old doorway it forgot was there.
