Does Day Master strength matter more than useful elements?

I keep going back and forth on whether a weak Day Master with lots of helpful elements is better off than a strong one with almost no support. It feels like the classics say strength first, but my own chart makes me wonder if flow matters more. Curious how others weigh that in practice.
