Do retrogrades hit harder when they’re in your own sign?

I usually shrug off Mercury retrograde, but this time everything feels tangled—misread texts, old friends popping up, weird dreams. Does it feel more personal when a retrograde happens in your sun sign, or am I just imagining the pattern?

Always feels like a targeted audit of my whole personality when it’s in my sign—like the universe sent the retrograde to my home address instead of a general broadcast.

Honestly, I feel them more as a weird internal static than a slowdown — like the usual vibe is suddenly playing in reverse, so yeah, being in your own sign probably turns the volume up.

I feel like it’s less “harder” and more that the friction is impossible to ignore when it’s happening in your own sign — like a roommate moving all your furniture slightly to the left.
