Astrocartography (Jim Lewis relocational astrology) projects the planets of your natal chart onto a world map as lines. Near each line the planet's life theme runs stronger — a language of emphasis, not fate.
?What do I need to calculate it?▾
Your birth date, exact time and city. Time is critical: the lines shift about 15° of longitude per hour, so without an exact time the map is unreliable.
?What do the MC, IC, ASC and DESC lines mean?▾
Each planet produces four lines. MC (Midheaven) — career and calling, IC (Nadir) — home and roots, Ascendant — self and body, Descendant — relationships and partnership.
?Does this mean I should move?▾
No. A line shows where a planet's theme is more vivid — on a trip, in a project, or simply as an accent. It is a tool for self-understanding; the choices are always yours.
?Which planets are strongest?▾
Venus (love, beauty), Jupiter (growth, luck), Sun (vitality, recognition) and Moon (home, peace) lines are considered the most favourable; Saturn and Mars are more demanding.
